Uncle Leo passed away in 2002 and the inheritance he left us, we used to develop “Leo's Block” vineyard in his memory.
With the help and guidance of “Master of Wine” Peter Scudamore Smith, we are aiming at producing small quantities of high quality wines for the enrichment of our guests' stay.
Our tiny 1.5 acre vineyard in its second vintage this year produced nearly 2 tonnes of grapes yielding some 1500 bottles.
Although not certified organic, our management principles are as natural as possible.
Our workforce is comprised of Jennifer, chief pruner and fruit fly eradicator, Rohan, eldest son and trainee manager, Alex, second son and big help, Tarni, the vineyard golden retriever and myself. We are also helped out at picking time by friends from some of the other tourist businesses in our
beautiful valley.
